The Registration Is the Point

Early on we spent hours trying to get pink and blue passes to line up exactly, the way a digital proof suggested they should. Eventually we stopped — a print with zero registration drift reads as flat and synthetic in a way that undersells what the machine is actually doing.

Now we leave a small intentional offset on most covers. It is, as far as we can tell, the single detail people mention most often when they pick up an issue for the first time.

Join the List

Print runs sell out. Usually within a season.

We run a mailing list for new-issue drops and restocks — no algorithm decides when you hear about it, just a plain email the morning we start printing.
