Offprint is an independent risograph print shop and zine imprint, founded in 2015, running one machine and printing everything in-house.
Offprint started in 2015 on a single secondhand Riso machine bought from a shuttering community darkroom, and we still run every issue through that same machine.
Each zine is designed around whatever two or three ink drums we happen to have loaded that month — the format follows the machine, not the other way around.

Every design starts from whichever two or three ink drums are loaded that month, not the other way around.
Plate burn, one color at a time
Each ink pass gets its own master plate, burned and mounted on the drum before a single sheet runs.
Print, dry, repeat per color
Sheets run through the machine once per ink color, drying flat between passes before the next color goes down.
Fold, trim, hand-stitch
Binding happens at the same table where the zines were designed — no outside bindery, no shortcuts.

We run a mailing list for new-issue drops and restocks — no algorithm decides when you hear about it, just a plain email the morning we start printing.
